Senior Snow Trip

The Senior went off to investigate alpine environments through snow play as the concluding activity in a unit on planning and preparation required for undertaking an offsite excursion in this unique environment. The whole day excursion to Lake Mountain Alpine Resort was very exciting for our students as for most of them it was their first experience ever seeing snow.

The students planned and prepared the entire excursion and provided all the risk assessments as part of their Personal Development Studies. This excursion is a perfect example of applied learning at the David Scott School whereby students learn about a topic only to later use their learning to participate in a hands-on experience further solidifying the knowledge.
