Introducing Yoshi, Our New Wellbeing Dog

Hi, my name is Yoshi,

I am an 8-week-old Golden Retriever. My name means good luck, and a bit like the character in the Nintendo games I love adventures, am very friendly, and can’t wait to help out all my new mates.
Candice came to pick me up yesterday and I have settled in very easily to my new home, I even slept through my first night!

Between naps I love to explore outside to find sticks to chew, long snuggles with my humans in the warmth, and all the squeaky toys to play with.

I loved meeting some of you on Zoom this morning with Candice & Stacey. I am looking forward to starting work at David Scott School and learning the things I need, to enable me to become the best wellbeing dog for you.

I can’t wait to meet everyone soon,
Yoshi!

The David Scott School is excited to be beginning work with our wellbeing dog around students next term mentored by Dogs Connect. Prior to commencing, we ask you to provide any information that may be relevant to your young person and our program.

This can be done by emailing Candice West our Community Engagement Officer or our Wellbeing team via info@davidscottschool.vic.edu.au

We are aware of the range of considerations that we need to make so that our work is inclusive and successful for all.

Further information and student induction coming soon.
